All of us have one or more hobbies in our life. Men have their own
hobbies. Even women have their preferred hobbies. In fact, women
have more hobbies than men. Likewise, children also have hobbies.
Having some hobbies or developing some of them has their own
benefits and advantages. Men or women, without any hobbies, are just
like sail ships without rudders or sails. Hobbies can guide and
mentor us throughout life.
Hobbies are very important for personal growth and progression.
Hobbies are extremely important for children as well. Children who
grow with productive hobbies can perform well in their life, both
personal and professional. It is always better to introduce good
hobbies in our children right from the time, when they develop their
brain. It is also pays us, if we have children who can show or
display some talents in form of some good hobbies. Hobbies can have
a number of multiple effects that have a series of cascading
results. Hobbies can help children to develop social, academic and
moral skills. Hobbies in children act like catalysts that can fuel
mental and physical growth.
Children on good hobbies can work like magic to develop their
personality as a whole. Academic experts believe that developing
hobbies can help you children with a series of benefits like:

According to most dictionaries, the term hobby has many meanings.

and knowledge. By learning a hobby, you will be acquiring an ability
to display your talent or skill by performing a series of activities
that are special to that particular hobby.
Hobbies can be numerous. Learning different languages could be a
hobby. Learning how to paint or draw can be another hobby. Crafts
and arts are two of the most common hobbies. Sewing and tailoring
can be two important hobbies. You can perform hobbies during your
leisure time or along with other subjects. Reading a book can be a
common hobby. For women, cooking and gardening can be important
hobbies. For children, some of the most common hobbies could be clay
modeling, painting, drawing, sketching, and origami. Philately and
coin collection could be important hobbies for older children.
Different sports and games could be favorite hobbies for many
children. Playing musical instruments or singing could also be very
important hobbies.
Most children tend to display an inclination to learn some hobbies
when they are still young. It is only that they loose their interest
or momentum at some point in their life that eventually results in
the discontinuation of those hobbies. Many of our children spend
unusually long time playing video games or watching TV shows. It is
not that they should not watch TV or play video games, but it is
dangerous that an over indulgence in such activities may make
children lethargic and lazy.
Parents may need to help their children develop or learn some
hobbies when they are still young in their life. Yes, it takes lot
of time and effort to teach hobbies to your children. However, with
concerted efforts, you can make your children develop some hobbies
that can enable them to develop their personality. Hobbies can keep
your children active and engaged. If your children do not learn and
develop some hobbies, they can develop boredom and lethargy, which
can act as obstacles to their development.
The Critical Importance of Hobbies
Hobbies can act as facilitators of life time passion and engagement.
Hobbies offer your children a number of advantages like:

main gateway to learning and understanding. Reading and writing
hobbies can help bring children, who spend too much time watching TV
or play games, to engage themselves in reading good books. Reading
is good hobby that assists your children develop the noble qualities
of patience and tolerance.
Example: Children can read easily readable books that
contain fable and folk stories, fantasies and interactive fiction.
For example, an immortal story like “Alice in Wonderland” can
provide an opportunity for your children to develop imagination and
guessing.
c) Learn goal setting: With good hobbies, your children can
learn how to set goals and achieve them. Goal setting is very
important life skills that can anyone to realize his or her dreams.
Example: Hobbies like biking, snowboarding and
skateboarding cab help children dream of greater professional
achievements in the future. This attitude can help them to develop
and learn goal setting.
It is up to you to find out what your children are interested in and
encourage them in developing those hobbies. The main key is to
motivate them to learn and develop those hobbies. With right kind of
